The first full day of widespread water distribution concluded yesterday at five sites south of the river and one in Greeneville.
Long lines formed at some sites, but as the sites reopen each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, those lines should ease up. Additional sites are being looked at in other parts of the county, particularly in the northern and eastern areas north of the river that aren’t served by the North Greene Utility District. North Greene gets much of their water from other sources and has remained less affected than the other water districts.
