The future use of the George Clem building is still being debated now that the Greeneville City School system has vacated the property.
While the George Clem Steering Committee is not ready at this time to present long term recommendations, the Head Start program will remain there for the immediate future.
City Council Tuesday approved allowing Head Start, through the Upper East Tennessee Human Development Agency, to continuing operations and programming at the building on an annual agreement. The ten year contract with the City School System ended when they moved out of the building to property on Hal Henard Road.
