David Hawk was uncontested in the Republican primary for his 5th District State House of Representative seat. Hawk received 3,580 votes. He will face Rebecca Anderson, who is running as an independent, in the November General Election. Hawk is seeking his 12th term as Representative for Greene County.
Marsha Blackburn won Greene County’s vote for US Senator with 89% of the vote over Tres Wittum. Diana Harsbarger was unopposed in her US House of Representatives primary. Blackburn will likely face democrat Gloria Johnson in the November election. Harshbarger will also have a democrat opponent in November.
