Republican Diana Harshbarger easily won re-election to her second term for the 1st District of the US House of Representatives from Tennessee.
Harshbarger, who took over the office after the retirement of Phil Roe in 2020, was challenged by Democrat Cameron Parsons and two independents.
Harshbarger picked up 78.32% and 147,153 votes district wide, which includes 12 northeast Tennessee Counties. Harshbarger represents Greene, Washington, Sullivan, Johnson, Unicoi, Carter, Hamblen, Hawkins, Cocke, Sevier, Hancock, and Jefferson Counties. Parsons received 37,032 votes district wide.
In Greene County, Harshbarger received 13,871 votes. Parsons picked up 2,892 votes. Independent Richard Baker got 177 votes. And Independent Matt Makron received 95 votes.
