According to the National Weather Service in Morristown, there will be strong winds across the East Tennessee this afternoon and tonight.
Breezy conditions are expected with stronger gusts possible in the highest peaks. Gusts of 30 to 35 mph are expected with isolated stronger gusts possible. Winds are expected to decrease in intensity before strengthening again late this evening ahead of approaching showers.
Secure outdoor objects as the gusty winds could blow them around if not secured. A few tree limbs could be blown down and lead to isolated power outages.
