A Greeneville woman was arrested Monday after reportedly stealing mail from a business and a residence last week.
Last Wednesday, a woman identified as Laura Carter was seen on video around 11:30 AM taking five pieces of mail from inside the mailbox at Korner Pawn Shop on East Bernard Avenue. Carter also allegedly stole 20 pieces of mail that same day from a residence on East Bernard Avenue.
An officer with the Greeneville Police Department spotted Carter on East Church Street on Monday afternoon. She was arrested for two counts of mail theft. She also had an outstanding warrant for violation of probation.
