A Greeneville suspect was among three Tennessee residents arrested following an armed robbery reported early last week in Madison County, North Carolina.
According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina, a man reported shortly after midnight Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026, that he had been robbed during a planned firearm sale arranged through Facebook Marketplace.
The victim, who is from Asheville, told deputies he agreed to meet a prospective buyer from Tennessee in the parking lot of the Dollar General store in Hot Springs. During the meeting, a male passenger in the buyer’s vehicle produced a handgun, pointed it at the victim, and the group fled with the victim’s firearm.
Madison County deputies, with assistance from law enforcement agencies in Tennessee, identified and arrested three suspects later that day in Morristown.
Morristown Police arrested 21-year-old Hailey Jackson of Greeneville, 18-year-old Gage Flora of Mooresburg, and 31-year-old Ishaih White of Morristown on additional charges. All three are expected to face armed robbery charges in Madison County, North Carolina.
Madison County Sheriff Buddy Harwood credited the swift response and coordinated efforts between agencies for the quick apprehension of the suspects, noting that the arrests helped remove dangerous individuals from the public and reinforced the county’s commitment to public safety.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office said it is awaiting the extradition of the suspects from Tennessee.
