A Greeneville man is facing drug charges following a traffic stop early this morning.
Nathan C. Church of Kingsport Highway was stopped on the 107 Cutoff around 2:20 AM for failure to maintain lane. A records check showed him to have an active warrant out of Sevier County.
While placing Church in custody, a baggy was found in the driver seat. Church reportedly said that the baggy contained xanax, ecstasy and cocaine. A field test was conducted, which revealed the cocaine to be laced with fentanyl.
Church was charged with possession of schedule 1 and four drugs and two counts of possession of schedule 2 drugs with intent to sell or deliver. He was also found to be in possession of $1,500 in cash, which was placed into evidence.
