A Greeneville man charged with the recent vandalism of a mural and wall at the intersection of Church Street and Bernard Avenue appeared in Greene County Sessions Court Wednesday morning.
21-year-old Brhenon J. Hickman was charged earlier this week with felony vandalism. Hickman was already in custody at the Greene County Detention Center on a violation of probation charge when the Greeneville Police Department received a tip that he was suspected of vandalizing the mural. Hickman was interviewed and reportedly admitted to spray painting the mural of notable woman of Greene County that was painted by students from Greeneville High School.
Wednesday in court, total bond for Hickman was set at $76,000 with a preliminary hearing set for August 5 at 9:00 am.
