A Greeneville man was arrested for Resisting Arrest, Assault, and Public Intoxication Wednesday.
At around 4:30 yesterday afternoon, Greeneville police responded to a report of a simple assault at 614 West Irish Street.
Upon arrival, officers reportedly saw a physical altercation in progress.
According to the report, suspect Micheal Dickenson had another individual pinned to the ground.
Dickenson reportedly resisted commands to stop the assault and placed his arms behind his back.
After a struggle between police and Dickenson, officers were able to place him into custody, where he continued to resist commands.
Police also noticed a smell of alcohol on him, and he reportedly appeared to be intoxicated.
Dickenson was charged with assault, resisting arrest, and public intoxication. He was transported to the Greene County Jail without further incident.
