With over 22 years of experience in education, Mrs. Huff most recently served for five years at Greeneville Middle School, where she held key leadership roles, including 7th and 8th Grade Social Studies Teacher, Assistant Cheer Coach, Social Studies Lead Teacher, and Advisor for the National Junior Honor Society.

A lifelong Greeneville resident and graduate of Chuckey-Doak High School, Mrs. Huff possesses deep connections to the community she now serves. She earned both her Bachelor and Master of Arts in Education from Tusculum College. She completed her administrative licensure at Lincoln Memorial
University.

Mrs. Huff is widely recognized for her student-centered leadership and unwavering commitment to preparing students for success in a rapidly changing world. Her leadership centers on 21st-century skills, including critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and digital literacy. She is dedicated to fostering meaningful relationships with students, staff, and families, valuing visibility, approachability, and active listening.

Principal Dr. Daisy Shepard stated, “Mrs. Huff brings strong instructional leadership and a genuine commitment to student achievement. Greeneville High School is excited to welcome her expertise and looks forward to the opportunities she will create to help all students reach their fullest potential.” Mrs. Huff expressed, “It is an honor to join Greeneville High School as an assistant principal. I’m excited to begin this new chapter in service
to our Greene Devil students, families, and the greater community. It is a privilege to be a part of a school with a strong tradition of excellence, and I look forward to supporting the success and growth of every student, both in and out of the classroom.”

Greeneville City Director Steve Starnes stated, “We are proud to welcome Mrs. Huff to Greeneville High School’s leadership team as assistant principal. Her two decades of educational experience, coupled with her participation in the GCS Aspiring Leadership Academy during the 2023–24 school year, reflect both her readiness and vision. Donita brings a student-focused leadership style and a deep connection to our community.  We are confident she will build on our tradition of excellence, fostering collaboration and high expectations for every student. Please join me in congratulating Mrs. Huff on this well-deserved appointment.”

Beyond her professional commitments, Mrs. Huff is an active member of First Baptist Church. She and her husband, Kevin Huff, are proud parents of two daughters, Christine and Ryleigh.

The Greeneville High School community welcomes Mrs. Huff to her new role and anticipates the positive
contributions her leadership will bring.
