A back and forth between the Greeneville Airport Authority and the City Council concerning two openings on the Airport Authority board finally resulted in appointments to that board on Tuesday.
Jimmy Collins was appointed to a new term on the board, which John Curan was approved as a new Airport Authority Board member.
The two had been recommended earlier but the matter was sent back to the Airport Authority to define how they select candidates for presentation to the City Council for approval.
At the most recent Airport Authority meeting, the board stood by their method for potential members and submitted the same two names for consideration on Tuesday.
This time they were both approved by a vote of 3-1 with Matt Hensley voting no.
