The Greeneville City Board of Education meets tonight following a joint meeting at 6 PM with Greene County Schools.
The agenda includes consideration of approval for a tuition free program at Highland Elementary. The program, which started in 2016, has to be evaluated annually to determine its continuation.
There will also be recognition of SCOPE students and CER teachers at the meeting. The board will consider approval of policy revisions (2nd reading) including: promoting student welfare, supervision of students, safe relocation of students, reporting child abuse, and method of election of officers. On (1st reading) they will consider revisions to school board meetings, graduation and political activities, and more including student wellness and suicide prevention.
Additionally, the board will discuss monthly reports from departments. The meeting will be at the Greene Technology Center located on 1121 Hal Henard Road.
