FONTANA POINT NEARING COMPLETION….OR IS IT?

Fontana Pointe at 62 Harlan Street is nearing completion, at least on this particular phase. But if planners have their way, two more units could be added to the area. Bert Seay reported he has had discussions with the owner for an additional two units on the property. Meanwhile as it pertains to the current construction, a temporary certificate of occupancy has been issued for Building 3. Other final inspections are scheduled for next week.

BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB
The Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Club of Greeneville/Greene County said last month the new facility on Vann Road should be opening sometime in June.

Scott Bullington says the new facility is about 27,000 square feet in size compared to the current 10,800 square foot building on West Church Street. Bullington says the gym alone inside the new location is larger than the entire building at the current location.
Justin Schooley visited the site recently and echoed the thoughts of Bert Seay about how great the facility looks. Schooley said Tuesday a temporary certificate of occupancy was issued earlier for some moving to begin. Site work remains before an official Certificate of Occupancy will be issued and the facility then used for its intended purpose to serve the boys and girls of Greeneville and Greene County.
