To raise funds for the Magic Book Bus Program, the Greene County Schools mobile library program, and other literacy programs of the Greene County Schools, the Foundation for Greene County Schools will be holding an online Literacy Auction the week of July 14.

The auction, which will begin on Monday, July 14, will close at noon on Friday, July 18. All bids will be by email to [email protected].
More than 100 items will be auctioned, including golfing items, dining cards, gift baskets, gift cards to local business, and tickets to area and regional attractions, concerts and festivals. Donated items were provided by sponsors, including Aubrey’s, Hands On Museum, MagiQuest, Publix, WonderWorks, Ripley’s Aquarium, Graysburg Hills and Twin Creeks golf courses, Casa Express, The Creamy Cup, the General Morgan Inn, Top Golf, Ober Mountain, Texas Roadhouse, The Peabody Hotel, Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville and Bright’ Zoos, Bee Well Day Spa, Luray and Bristol Caverns, Total Wine & More, Top Golf and many more.
More than 100 items will be available for bidding, including Mystery Items which are added each day as the auction progresses.

The founding members of Greene LEAF are concerned citizens who have come together to form a nonprofit organization. The purpose of the organization is to assist the Greene County School System’s teachers, staff and students with projects and needs above and beyond what tax revenues can provide. The Greene LEAF Board has set out three primary goals for the next three years – supporting literacy programs, providing support to increase student access to technology in and out of the classroom and supporting arts education.
