The Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development reported Thursday afternoon that Greene County’s unemployment rate for February was 4.4 percent, down from 4.9 percent in January.
Greene County’s rate in February 2024 was 4.0 percent.
The unemployment rate for February 2025 decreased in 88 Tennessee counties, increased in five counties, and remained the same in two counties.
Williamson County had the lowest rate at 2.6 percent, while Cocke County had the highest rate at 6.6 percent.
Tennessee’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for February was 3.7 percent. The state rate has remained steady for six consecutive months.
