Be Kind To . . .

We all need a special day, a kind word, or a pat on the back.  That’s why WGRV and the Greeneville Energy Authority have been recognizing the citizens of our community for over 75 years with our daily Citizen of the Day.

If you would like to submit a name to be considered as the Greene County Citizen of the Day, we need to know that person’s name, full address (including street number), city, and zip code. You can EMAIL us, or call our studios at 423-638-4147.

If there is a particular reason you feel this person should be acknowledged on a particular date, please let us know that also.  For example, if someone is retiring or has reached a milestone birthday.  We receive numerous submissions, and we compile the list in advance, so we can’t promise that we can always match a person to a particular date.

A name used as a Citizen of the Day will be ineligible for a period of two years before they can be resubmitted in order to recognize as many of the good people of our community that we can.

Be listening each day to 99.5 FM WGRV as we announce the Greeneville Energy Authority Citizen of the Day.
