A Greene County Sheriff’s Department Corrections Officer and an inmate sustained minor injuries in a single vehicle wreck Thursday evening.
A Tennessee Highway Patrol report issued during the 11 o’clock hour this morning indicates the crash occurred just after 6:15 pm on State Route 93 (Kingsport Highway) at the Airport Road intersection.
The report indicates 20 year old Landon Neeley was injured when the Sheriff’s Department vehicle he was driving left the roadway and struck a standing tree. The 2017 Ford Interceptor Sedan was heavily damaged.
An update on his medical condition was not listed on the report. A 24 year old inmate, who was not named on the report, was riding in the back seat, also sustained minor injuries.
