Greene County Schools will hold a called meeting next Thursday afternoon to approve Dr. Chris Malone as interim director of schools.
Malone will take over for David McLain, who announced last month that he would be retiring effective January 31 after nearly 10 years as director.
Malone currently serves as Pre-K and Federal Programs Director for the county schools. He will serve in the interim director position until a new director of schools is hired for Greene County.
The Greene County Board of Education’s called meeting will be Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at the Central Office.
