LEVEL 5 FOR 10 CONSECUTIVE YEARS
The Greene County Schools are Level 5 for a tenth consecutive year as it pertains to growth scores. Dr. Chris Malone says Greene County is one of the top three growing districts in the state according to Comprehensive Educational Resources.
ENROLLMENT
Updating the enrollment report Radio Greeneville first told you about a week and a half ago, Dr. Malone said Thursday the current enrollment system wide is 5651, down about 100 from this time a year ago.
Malone says there is usually a moderate increase throughout the school year and is looking for larger numbers in the Pre-K program for four year olds.
TEACHERS
There are 64 new teachers in the Greene County School System this year including the 12 CTE instructors.
NEXT MEETING
After taking the August meeting on the road to West Greene this month, the next meeting is scheduled for September 25th at 5:30 in the Central Office. Other school site meetings will be held at South Greene in October, North Greene in January and at Chuckey Doak in May.
