The Greene County Highway Department continues work to recover from the weekend flooding damage.
Road Superintendent Kevin Swatsell told Radio Greeneville News Wednesday he expected Greystone and Water Fork roads to be reopened later in the day with temporary crossings in place. W I Bowman road still has a damaged area.
Gary Rector and Jeff Bird of the GCHD are shown in pictures below repairing damage, including from a slide on Perry Davis Road.

Swatsell reports debris has been removed in and around the St. James Bridge which collapsed, but that portion of the road remains closed as a complete new structure will need to be built there.
Paint Creek Road he said remains closed.
Swatsell advises motorists to use extreme caution in those areas where work has been or will be done moving forward.
