The Greene County Regional Planning Commission will meet this afternoon and consider several requests, including a site plan for a proposed Dollar General store on the Erwin Highway.
The site plan shows the store on 7595 Erwin Highway, east of its intersection with Shaw Road. There is already a Dollar General Store located at 4495 Erwin Highway. Other items to consider will be granting approval to the Frances D. Hayes Estate Section A plat, located adjacent to Boles Lane, that will include 16 lots. Approval is also needed for Section B, which has 24 lots. The property has over 90 acres.
There is a request to consider the rezoning of 6385 Chuckey Pike, (formerly the Horse Creek Community Center Property). The property adjoins two state highways, the Erwin Highway and Chuckey Pike. If approved, this will be allow the use of the existing building as offices.
Additionally, there will be discussions on subdivisions, monthly reports, and other business. The will meet at 1 PM this afternoon in the Greene County Courthouse Annex, Conference Room.
