The Greene County Partnership and Tusculum University are inviting local businesses, nonprofit organizations, civic clubs, community groups, churches, and corporate partners to participate in the Pioneer WOW Community Showcase on Saturday, August 15, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on the Tusculum University campus.
The Community Showcase is part of Tusculum University’s Pioneer WOW orientation program and takes place during freshman and new student move-in weekend. The event provides an exciting opportunity for local organizations and businesses to welcome new students and their families while introducing them to the many products, services, resources, and opportunities available throughout Greene County and the surrounding region.
Participants will have the opportunity to interact with Tusculum University students, parents, faculty, staff, and community members in a fun and welcoming environment. Businesses and organizations are encouraged to create an engaging table display and may choose to offer product samples, promotional giveaways, student discounts, branded merchandise, demonstrations, interactive activities, or information about their programs and services.
“This event is a wonderful way to strengthen the connection between Tusculum University and the Greene County community,” said Jessie Beth Miller, Director of Community Engagement for the Greene County Partnership. “We encourage businesses and organizations of all sizes to take advantage of this opportunity to introduce themselves to new students and their families while showcasing everything our community has to offer.”
Examples of participating organizations may include restaurants, coffee shops, fitness centers, retailers, financial institutions, healthcare providers, churches, service organizations, nonprofits, entertainment venues, and community resource agencies. Businesses offering samples or special promotions are encouraged to do so to help create an engaging experience for attendees. Participation is open to businesses, clubs, organizations, and community groups interested in building relationships with Tusculum University’s newest students and their families.
