A Greene County man died Friday night in an accident in North Carolina.
According to a Sergeant from the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, James Edward “Eddie” Hope, age 58, died in the accident that happened on Highway 208 around 10:40 PM. The accident occurred near the Hurricane community, which is where the Highway 25 turns to go toward Hot Springs.
Hope and his brother Lynn Hope, owner of Lynn Hope Towing, were returning from towing a vehicle when the accident happened. Lynn Hope was also injured in the accident and was being treated at the Johnson City Medical Center.
