A Greene County man was found in possession of drugs while driving on a revoked license and expired registration.
At around 8:30 last night, Greeneville police noticed a vehicle with expired registration during a routine traffic stop.
Officers contacted the driver, William Evans of Limestone, and found his license to be revoked. Evans didn’t get a licensed driver to pick him up, so officers called a tow truck.
Upon a pre-tow vehicle search, officers found a marijuana joint. Police then searched Evan’s person and found .5 grams of methamphetamine, 2.6 grams of mushrooms, more marijuana, rolling papers, and a hydrocodone pill.
Evans was placed under arrest for Suspended License, Registration Violation, Possession of Schedule I, Possession of Schedule II, Possession of Meth, Possession of Schedule VI, and Possession of Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia.
He was transported to the Greene County jail without incident.
