Greene County Sheriff’s Department Patrol Lieutenant David Love is hoping to replace current Sheriff Wesley Holt when he retires from that position next year.
His qualifying petition was approved by the Election Commission on Tuesday.
Love has been with the Greene County Sheriff’s Department for the past 24 years. In addition to Patrol Lieutenant, he is also the ranking Fire and Arson Investigator for Greene County.
