Traffic related charges against a Greene County Constable were dismissed Wednesday morning in Greene County Sessions Court.
According to a Greene County Sheriff’s Department report, Deputy Josh Jenkins, shortly after 10:30 am Monday, stopped a vehicle driven by Matthew Brobeck of Jeffries Lane in Mosheim on West Summer Street near the 70 Truck Route intersection.
A records check, at that time, resulted in Brobeck being issued a criminal summons for driving on a suspended license and a citation for expired registration.
Brobeck notified Radio Greeneville News Wednesday afternoon that both charges had been dismissed. Circuit Court Clerk Whitney Collins confirmed that Brobeck had had his license reinstated through the Department of Safety and presented proof of current registration in court, which led to the dismissal of the charges.
