Greene County Commissioners will consider adoption of the 2027 budget when they meet in regular session a week from Monday.
The Budget and Finance Committee has spent the past few months developing the budget and discussed it with thirteen commissioners who attended a budget workshop on June 30th.
The full commission will consider adoption of the budget and fixing the tax levy during their July 20th meeting at 6:00 pm at the Greene County Administration Center. A public hearing on the proposed budget will begin at 5:30 prior to the scheduled meeting.
Other agenda items for the meeting include:
Appointing a Veterans Service Officer
Appropriation of funds to the Dickson-Williams Historical Association, Tusculum University, the Earnest Family Fort House and the Blue Springs Historical Association.
