The Greene County Board of Education will meet Thursday, December 4th at 5:30 pm at the Central Office.
TRACK AND FIELD SITE
Agenda items include approval of the bid for the new track and field facility behind Doak. As Radio Greeneville News told you earlier this month, BurWil Construction of Bristol had submitted the low bid of 5.6 million dollars for the job and will be considered for approval.
CTE CONSTRUCTIONS
Students in the CTE programs at both Chuckey Doak and West Greene are scheduled to move into the new facilities in January. An update on the constructions is scheduled during the board meeting.
BUS GARAGE PURCHASE
Purchase of a new truck to replace a high mileage vehicle with a failing engine for the bus garage is also scheduled for a vote.
H-GAC PURCHASING PROGRAM
The board will also consider approval to use the H-GAC Cooperative Purchasing Program in order to purchase new traffic signals and equipment.
