Similar to the process being used to updating the HVAC units across the school system on a rotating schedule based on urgency, the Greene County Board of Education heard a report last night from Jake Greene with Coryell Roofing of Morristown following their evaluation of the 14 schools in the system.
Greene presented a plan which would call for the first improvements to begin at South Greene with other high urgency needs at the three other high schools.
Director Malone told the board he believes roofing repairs and/or replacements can be done using money from the capital projects budget without the need to approach the county for additional funds.
