The new Boys & Girls Club of Greeneville and Greene County is officially open for business on this Monday, following a grand opening and ribbon cutting at the new building Sunday afternoon.
The new facility will carry the name and legacy of Phil and Martha Bachman. It is located at 413 East Vann Road in Greeneville. The 27,000 square foot is a youth development center with afterschool and summer programs and activities that serves school age children attending Kindergarten through 12th grade. The new facility was designed to inspire and support local kids and families and offers a modern, safe space for the youth of Greeneville & Greene County. The new facility marks an exciting investment in the communities youth.
At double in size from the last facility, the nearly $8 million dollar facility features arts and crafts, a learning center, technology lab, health and wellness, games, activities and a new gym with 12 drop-down goals.
The facility also features a CTE, STEM and a workforce readiness program to keep students on track to graduate.
BOB KESLING SPEAKS, PERFORMING ARTS ROOM NAMED IN HIS HONOR
Bob Kesling, longtime lead broadcaster for Tennessee Volunteer sports may have retired from the announcer booth but he is still “Volunteering.” This past June, he once again hosted the 23rd Annual Bob Kesling Boys & Girls Club Celebrity Golf Classic at Link Hills Country Club.
Sunday the Performing Arts Center Room was named in his honor.
