Grading on property owned by Greene County for industrial development on Snapps Ferry Road is beginning this week.
Mayor Kevin Morrison told Radio Greeneville News Thursday “the contractor that was awarded the bid, Hommel Construction out of Newport, began their operations at the location near Thornwood and Gass Drive this week in preparation for making that pad ready for three business prospects that he says have shown serious interest in that location and coming here and creating jobs and making investments in Greene County.”
Morrison says the fence around the site in accordance with what we are required to do for the state and stormwater runoff was installed on Monday and a dozer is now on site.
Morrison added they expect to be done sometime around December 1st and he says as quick as that’s completed, he expects that to hear something very good from one of the industrial partners looking to come to Greene County.
