Governor Bill Lee was in Greene County Thursday to meet with victims of the floods, survey the damage, and to thank volunteers and first responders.
Lee spoke to responders about the tremendous amount of work has been done in an unprecedented disaster. Lee said the State of Tennessee is standing behind those who lost property and supporting the relief efforts.
Lee said that what is happening in Greene County is what the “volunteer spirit” is all about. Lee also visited Trinity United Methodist Church, one of the main locations in Greeneville where supplies are being distributed.
