Winds topping 90 miles per hour caused scattered power outages, mostly in the southern part of the county.
At the peak around 5:00 AM, around 2,000 customers were without power, but Greeneville Energy Authority crews had restored power to all but 300 by 6:00 AM.
The largest area still without power at 9:00 AM was along the Houston Valley Road, but power was expected to be restored by late morning.
