Crews from the Greeneville Energy Authority will be back to work this morning, as around 7,000 customers wake up without power.
The outages span every part of Greene County, with the highest concentrations in the Caney Branch, Flag Branch and Greystone areas at more than 75 percent of customers. Workers will have difficulty immediately accessing some areas due to the washed-out bridges.
Many of Friday’s outages were caused by the high winds that knocked down trees and limbs.
