The Greeneville Energy Authority Board will meet this morning for the first time without their board member Jim Emory, who passed away at the age of 91 on July 8th.
The board will discuss Emory’s passing and determine how GEA will move forward. The board members are also to meet this morning to discuss the salary and benefits for the new Interim President and CEO of GEA, Dwayne Wells.
Also on the agenda is consideration for a vehicle purchase process change. The board will review new business and discuss projects and expenditures for approval including, Charles 288 Port Cabinets and 1×32 Fiber Splitters for Cabinets, AFL Apex Splice Enclosures, and AFL X1 Enclosures from Border States.
Additionally, there will be a monthly update from the Financial, Engineering and Operations, and Broadband Department. The Interim President and CEO will also provide a monthly update.
The meeting will be held at 9 AM this morning in the GEA Board Room in the Greeneville Energy Authority Building located at 110 North College Street.
