Lennie Lawson has been involved in a successful car business for 47 years. But he and his family have also had to deal with the loss of a young adult child in an automobile crash. There seems little doubt that experience in large part led to Lawson’s plan to reach out to try to assist and help educate area youth approaching driving age.
The free two hour long “Teen Driver Experience” took place Tuesday evening with a large group of teens gathered at the Gateway dealership.
Lawson moderated the first of what will be two Teen Driver Experience sessions this week. THP Trooper Joe McNulty was also in attendance.

A second session is scheduled for Thursday from 6-8 pm for those unable to attend Tuesday. Dinner will be provided. To register for Thursday or for more information send a message or call Gateway at 423-639-5151 and ask for “Teen Driver Reservations”
