While investigating a hit and run wreck near Meade Tractor on West Andrew Johnson Highway Saturday evening, officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle in the Greeneville Commons. Officers spoke with the driver, identified as Alexzander Riddle of West Main Street. According to the report, Riddle admitted to being at the location of the crash, and officers smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search located a baggie of a green leafy substance consistent with marijuana. Riddle was issued a summons for Schedule VI Drug Violations, according to the police report.

Two public intoxication arrests were made Saturday. One Saturday morning, after officers were dispatched to the 200 block of West Bernard Avenue. A man identified as James Teaster was reportedly found in an agitated state, unable to control jerking and swaying movements, and appeared to be struggling to walk.
The other was on East Andrew Johnson Highway Saturday afternoon after police received a call of a female lying in the parking lot. Officers spoke with the woman, identified as Allieaha Rodifer of Lakeshore Park, who was sitting next to the four-lane. According to the report, she had uncontrolled jerking movements, and reportedly said she had used meth a few days before.
For the safety of themselves and the public, both Teaster and Rodifer were placed into custody and taken to the Detention Center.
