On Friday, a Parrottsville woman reported money removed from her account at Andrew Johnson Bank.

The victim told police that, while she was hospitalized, a person she named, had taken around $9,100 from her account without her permission. The victim has since closed the account, but the investigation is still ongoing.

Around 9:30 Saturday night, police received a complaint of a green Volkswagen Jetta shooting at people in Walmart parking lot with toy orby guns. One of the individuals allegedly threw a water bottle, striking a passenger in the car. Officers stopped the Jetta on the East Andrew Johnson Highway and Snapps Ferry Road intersection. Two occupants in the car reportedly admitted to shooting people with the orby guns. A search of the vehicle found 3 large toy orby guns and all parties were advised of private prosecution procedures.

Officers responded to Fairgrounds Road around 9:30 Saturday night. The victim reported someone had taken the battery out of a Chevy Silverado between 7:30 and 9:30 PM. Estimated cost of the battery was $200.

An aggravated assault arrest was made Saturday night. Tanner L. Duncan of Liberty Way was taken into custody for reportedly violating an active order of protection and for aggravated assault.

Around 1:45 Friday afternoon, officers spotted a Ford Fusion speeding on West Andrew Johnson Highway. Radar confirmed the car, driven by Roger Greene of Ealey Road, was going 63 in a 45 miler per hour zone. Once the car was stopped, the driver reportedly told officers he did not have a license, it having been revoked for DUI. Greene was arrested for speeding, driving while license is revoked, and failure of financial responsibility.

Police were called for a welfare check in a parking lot in the 1400 block of East Andrew Johnson Highway Friday afternoon. Officers spoke with Lacie Whitson of Mosheim, who was reportedly acting erratic and could not keep her eyes open. Whitson allegedly told officers she had taken Meth and fentanyl and was transported to the Detention Center.

Police stopped a vehicle late Saturday morning as the driver was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt. Kimberly Morgan of Take Off Lane was also found to have a suspended driver’s license. Morgan was issued a citation for driving on a suspended driver’s license in lieu of an arrest.

Around 2:00 PM Saturday, police pulled over a KIA Optima where the driver was reportedly texting while driving. During the stop, the driver, Kason Wisecarver of Debusk Road, was found to have no insurance and a suspended license. Wisecarver was issued a criminal summons.

Friday at around 10:30 AM, officers responded to the State probation office on Depot Street, on the tip that a male was there with an active warrant. Officers located Kris Keedwell, of Bulls Gap inside the waiting area, who was placed under arrest on a Violation of Probation warrant.
