An individual was arrested on a warrant and drug violations Saturday morning.
Police took out a warrant on Chester Ricker of North Main Street for domestic assault, after investigating an incident where Ricker allegedly grabbed the victim by the throat and shoved her head into a garage door, before leaving on a bicycle with the victim’s backpack and medications. Originally, officers searched the area where the reported assault took place and could not locate Ricker.
Several hours later around 8:00 AM, an officer spotted Ricker sitting outside of a garage, and he closed the garage door before the officer had exited the vehicle. Backup arrived, and after several requests, Ricker came out of the building and was taken into custody.
At the detention center, a correctional officer reportedly found a baggie containing a gray powdery substance believed to be heroin in Ricker’s pants pocket, and he was also charged with Possession of a Schedule One drug.

Contact was made with the driver of a vehicle, which had crossed the center line on Chuckey Pike Thursday. April Kessler of Painter Road, Chuckey, was found to have a suspended license, and due to Kessler’s possible impairment was taken into custody for DUI. A search of the vehicle found multiple baggies containing a crystal-like substance consistent with meth, and a container with pills believed to be narcotics. Kessler was charged with DUI, driving on revoked license, possession of methamphetamine, simple possession of Schedule 5 and 6 drugs, and drug paraphernalia.

Early Friday morning, police were called to a parking lot at Old Stage Road, for a female allegedly sleeping in her vehicle for a couple of hours, with the vehicle running.
After multiple attempts, the female, identified as Cynthia Bowhall, of Whispering Oaks Lane, woke up, reportedly confused and disoriented. Officers reported an odor of alcohol from her person. Bowhall performed poorly on standardized field sobriety testing and was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence and transported to the Greene County Detention Center.

An arrest was made Friday on Light Street. Travis Dixon was arrested for domestic assault, and a search found an unlabeled medicine bottle containing several pills believed to be Klonopin and Suboxone. Dixon was also charged with possession of schedule lll and schedule lV Drugs.

Officers conducted a warrant check on Hartman Lane Thursday night, for Anthony Swatzell who had an active warrant for a violation of probation.
