The Sheriff’s Office took a report of Identity Theft Thursday afternoon. The victim stated a local finance company phoned him for permission to run his credit for a loan application for $500. The victim stated he had never filled out a loan application, and it was unknown how the suspects got his information.

Greeneville Police responded to a request for a welfare check Saturday morning, on a man reportedly passed out in a car at a gas station in the 200 block of East Andrew Johnson Highway. Upon arrival, officers woke the man, identified as Daniel Cisneros of Shallow Creek Lane. According to the report, officers noticed two bottles of alcohol in the passenger side floorboard. Cisneros was asked to step out of the vehicle and officers performed a standardized field sobriety test which showed clues that he was unfit to drive. Cisneros was also found to be under the age of 21 and was arrested for Public Intoxication and Underage Consumption.

Deputies stopped a vehicle early Saturday morning for a motor vehicle lights violation. The driver, Michael Richards of Debusk Road, was found to have a suspended driver’s license. Richards was placed into custody for driving on a suspended license and failure of the financial responsibility law.

Police spoke with a male Saturday morning at a construction site on Baileyton Road. Christian Turner of Bulls Gap was reportedly pacing around without a shirt or shoes. When asked, Turner reportedly could not give officers a straight answer and had slurred speech. Because of minor injuries observed by officers, Turner was taken into custody and charged with Public Intoxication, due to him being a danger to himself and the public.

After he was seen leaning near the edge of Snapps Ferry Bridge on East Andrew Johnson Highway, police made contact with Kyle Carpenter. Carpenter reportedly had an odor of alcohol coming from his person and showed other signs of intoxication. For his safety, he was taken into custody and transported to the Detention Center.

A Morristown man was issued a summons to Sessions Court Saturday afternoon, after being pulled over on West Andrew Johnson Highway and Mount Pleasant Circle by police, for not wearing a seatbelt. It was also found that Logan Hedrick of Morristown was driving on a suspended license.

Police officers were called to the 1300 block of Snapps Ferry Road around 1:30 Saturday morning, on a report of a male allegedly passed out, lying in a parking lot. Upon arrival, officers reportedly woke the male and asked if he was okay, to which he responded that he was drunk. He identified himself as Jalen Ingram, of Wayland Drive. After speaking and observing Ingram, officers determined that he was a danger to himself.
Ingram was found to have an active warrant out of Johnson City. He was placed under arrest for public intoxication and was transported to the Greene County Detention Center.
