The Greene County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of a four day old baby after an apparent dog bite incident at a Greene County residence.
According to the Sheriff’s Department, the baby was taken to Greeneville Community Hospital around 10:30 AM on Monday and then flown to the UT Medical Center. The baby later died from the injuries.
An autopsy has been ordered and will be conducted at the Knoxville Regional Forensic Center.
