Former Greeneville City Manager Todd Smith will receive half of his annual salary and accrued leave time as the severance package from the City of Greeneville.
Smith will receive six months severance pay of $82,459.00 plus 262 hours of accrued leave totaling $20,773.27. The $103,232 will be paid in one lump sum later this week.
Smith resigned two days after the City Council, by a 3-2 vote, called for his resignation during the August 19th meeting.
Finance Director Lora Young announced the severance pay information during the meeting of the City Council today for informational purposes. The payment required no formal action from the board.
