Food distribution for students of both the Greeneville City and Greene County Schools will continue today.
Greeneville City Director of Schools Steve Starnes said the city system will be serving meals at Greeneville High School. They will be distributed curbside on Monday, September 30, and Wednesday, October 2, between 12 PM and 2 PM. Between these two pickup days, a total of five breakfasts and five lunches will be provided. Parents will receive an e-mail to register, or you can follow this link.
County Director David McLain said the county will be having free food distributions today between 11AM and 2PM. The county distributions will be at Camp Creek Elementary School, South Greene Middle School, Mosheim Elementary, Baileyton Elementary, and Chuckey Doak Middle School.
The Greene County Family Resource Center will be distributing food, diapers, and personal hygiene supplies today and Friday from 10AM until 2PM while supplies last at Greenwood Methodist Church on Sam Doak Road and at Cedar Grove Christian Church on Chuckey Pike. You can stay in your car and supplies will be brought out to you. You will need to write down your name, address, and child’s name and school. If you have been displaced by the flood, you can text 423-930-0454 to have supplies delivered.
