After a rain Saturday, our area could see some snow flurries on Sunday, although no significant accumulation is expected.
Sunday’s forecast calls for a 60% chance of rain that will change over to snow flurries after 9:00 AM. The high will be in the mid 30s with winds gusting up to 20 miles per hour.
The National Weather Service expects less than 1″ in the valley, with 2-3″ possible in the mountains before the snow moves out and gives way to the extreme cold temperatures.
If you plan on traveling, be advised that parts of southwest Virginia and expected to get more snow.
