The Flood Watch issued by the National Weather Service remains in effect for Greeneville/Greene County and surrounding areas through Thursday morning.
On top of what has already fallen, another weather system is set to bring another 1 to 3 inches of rainfall throughout tonight and into Thursday morning, The third storm system could more heavy rain Saturday into Sunday.
The NWS warns of the heavy rains resulting in excessive runoff that could cause the flooding of rivers, creeks, and other flood-prone locations.
