The National Weather Service Office in Morristown has issued a a Flood Watch from Noon today through Sunday evening for the area.
The Hazardous Weather Outlook remains in effect each day and night for the area at least into early next week.
Multiple waves of showers and storms will move through the region throughout the day possibly starting early this morning. A few strong to severe storms will be possible. The primary threat will be gusty winds. With heavy downpours expected at times, flooding issues may become more widespread. The wet pattern will continue through the weekend, which may pose a more widespread flooding threat. While it will not rain the whole time, multiple rounds of precipitation will lead to an increased flooding risk for areas that see repeated heavy downpours. Some storms could also produce strong to damaging winds, especially Saturday.
