UPDATE as of 5:30 AM: Several county roads are or were closed due to rain and other issues as of early this morning including: Windsong Road, Old Stage Road, Old Midway Road, parts of Blue Springs Parkway, Rocky Hill, Pottertown Road North, Mohawk Road, and McDonald Road.

There is currently a Flood Advisory in effect until 10:15 this morning.
According to the National Weather Service, flooding has been caused due to excessive rainfall in Greene County and surrounding areas. Expect minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas and water over roadways. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Several roads remain closed across Greene County and some locations that will experience flooding include Johnson City, Morristown, Greeneville, Elizabethton, Jefferson City, Erwin, Dandridge, Jonesborough, Tusculum, and Midway.
