A flash flooding advisory has been extended into today.
According to the National Weather Service in Morristown, there is a possibility that flash flooding may be a threat today and into tonight.
Severe thunderstorms are expected in the Cumberland Plateau and central Tennessee Valley areas this morning. The storm is expected to produce thunderstorms in Greeneville and Greene County throughout they day.
No Flash Flood Watches or Warnings have been issued, but that could change as there is a risk of severe storms areawide. These storms may produce heavy rainfall, with damaging winds and large hail.
