The GCS Education Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides advocacy and financial support for the Greeneville City School System. Founded in 1996 by a group of private citizens working closely with the Greeneville City Board of Education, and the school system administration, the organization strives to go “beyond the basics” provided to public schools via government funding so students will be college and career ready, and successfully equipped in a global society. Over twenty members of the Greeneville community sit on the Board of Trustees, serving to guide the course of the organization.
